Project Manager Data Centres
Overview
Goodman is seeking an experienced Project Manager (based in Paris) to join our Data Centre project team. The role oversees the entire lifecycle of the construction process, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and quality standards. You’ll manage strategic planning, coordination, and leadership of multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders. You’ll mitigate risks, monitor progress, and resolve issues. The Project Manager liaises with clients and ensures alignment with business objectives, with a focus on operational readiness and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Project Leadership: Provide leadership and strategic direction for data center projects; oversee the full project life cycle from tendering to commissioning, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Client Management: Engage in negotiations, coordinate discussions with subject matter experts, and lead to lease signatures; ensure seamless transition from commercialization to project delivery; communicate updates, milestones, and decisions to clients.
- Project Planning And Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans with internal/external stakeholders; manage budgets, resources, and timelines.
- Risk Management: Establish project controls, develop risk mitigation strategies, focus on commissioning phase risk management.
- Contractual Oversight: Ensure compliance with general contractor and lease obligations; manage claims and disputes in FIDIC-based contracts; oversee change order management.
- Market Experience And Team Building: Demonstrate experience in the French market; assemble and lead project team, integrate existing members.
Qualifications / Do you recognize yourself?
- 10 years experience in project management, with a focus in data centre projects
- Proven track record delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget
- Strong leadership, decision making, and team-building skills
- Experience in the Spanish market with a successful project delivery track record
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
