About the Projects
The Dunkirk Offshore Wind Farm is a flagship renewable energy project off the coast of northern France, delivering up to 600 MW of clean electricity to the national grid. The grid connection system includes two 225 kV HVAC export cable links, each comprising a submarine section (~16 km) and an underground section (~6.2 km). This large-scale EPCI project involves complex engineering, civil works, and strict environmental and safety standards.
The Bretagne Sud Project is the mutualized connection of two Offshore floating wind farms with the french national grid. The Offshore wind farms are located off the South Brittany coast and are of total power of 750 MW. The project includes, οne Offshore Substation (owned by RTE) and three HVAC 225 kV export Cable Links. The total HVAC 225 kV export cable length is 145 km (1x 49km and 2x 48km) and the total onshore cable length is 81 km (3x 27km).
