Acme Brick Company (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) is a leading manufacturer and distributor of building materials, operating 13 states. We manufacture brick and distribute our own brick as well as products manufactured by other companies.

Summary

We are seeking a “best in class” Production Supervisor who supervises and coordinates activities of subordinate associates engaged in operating various machines to manufacture products. The supervisor oversees the daily production activities of a plant or department. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You will be a strong and reliable support to company operations, enabling us to achieve organizational efficiency while nurturing the pleasant work environment that our people love.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned). This is a safety sensitive position*

• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Suggests changes in conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
• Recommends and implements new procedures.
• Confers with other supervisors/management to coordinate activities of department.
• Ensure department and workplace safety by adhering to all federal, state, local and Acme Brick Company policies and procedures.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists associates in solving work related problems.

Skills and Experience Required for Success

• 2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Develop a team environment that values and uses various individual’s strengths to the benefit of the team.
• Proficient using MS Office.

Education

• High school diploma required; some college is acceptable. One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
