Product Owner

About the Job
The Product Owner Engineering is responsible for optimizing production resources and supporting production teams in implementing processes developed during process design and industrialization. The role ensures efficient execution of manufacturing operations, strict compliance with technical and quality standards, and effective collaboration with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Review technical dossiers and product drawings to ensure manufacturability and compliance with specifications.
- Draft, update, and maintain technical operating procedures, manufacturing instructions, and control sheets.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify process improvements and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Plan and oversee production methods, tooling, and resources to ensure optimal efficiency and quality.
- Lead and coordinate the activities of Manufacturing Engineers (MEs), ensuring timely delivery of operational instructions and process documentation.
- Collaborate with OEMs or external suppliers on technical requirements, production schedules, quality standards, and cost considerations.
- Manage first article reviews, internal and customer audits, and validation of new or modified processes.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Design, Production, and Quality teams to ensure manufacturability, process compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support feasibility studies for new products, process flows, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting and Working Relationships
- Reports to the Technical Director and works according to strategic priorities.
- Interfaces with external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers (for product validation), and auditors (e.g., Nadcap, EN standards, client audits).
Supervisor Responsibilities
The candidate will manage the Engineering team.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of the current quality management system
- Proficiency in office software applications
- Proficiency in Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems
- Proficiency in process planning tools
- Proficiency in technical drawing
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Proficiency in production management
- Knowledge of customer specifications and industry standards
- Proficiency with production and engineering applications, including SAP, Excel, and TopSolid
Education and Experience
- BUT – Mechanical and Production Engineering: Industrial Process Management
- MASTER – Industrial Engineering
- Engineering Degree – Engineering Specialty
- Proficiency in spoken and written French. Professional English.
- Ability to be trained for the position.
Travel
Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company.
