Role Overview

Product Owner – Strategic Programmes, Derivatives & Post‑Trade (Paris, France). The role reports to the Product Owner Senior Manager and is responsible for driving product strategy, requirements, and delivery for the team’s portfolio of derivative products.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with stakeholders across engineering, design, product, projects, sales, marketing, operations, suppliers and customers to gather and clarify requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and design groups to develop detailed technical specifications and application features.
  • Manage existing product groups and develop new products aligned with the roadmap to meet business priorities.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end development of new products/services, working closely with internal project teams, finance, regulation, surveillance and key stakeholders.
  • Draft clear, unambiguous requirement documents for new products and provide necessary clarifications to internal teams and clients.
  • Own P&L‑driven business case development to balance client value and cost control.
  • Develop go‑to‑market strategies, compile and evaluate market research on requirements, identify feature enhancements, and conduct competitor analysis to improve market position.
  • Engage with external clients for co‑design of new features, support sales teams and support client satisfaction initiatives.
  • Ensure competitive pricing structures, monitor pricing initiatives, and guarantee compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Maintain partner relationships with business development and client services to understand client needs and market share opportunities.
  • Produce and maintain external client documentation such as service descriptions, subscription forms and agreements.
  • Facilitate timely and clear client communication.
  • Prepare internal documentation for new products and support operational follow‑up and client support.
  • Coordinate, prioritize and resolve bug fixes.
  • Contribute to the forward‑looking product roadmap for internal and client‑facing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a relevant financial market discipline.
  • Experience in an exchange and/or a CCP is a plus.
  • Hands‑on experience in software delivery projects, change management and client readiness.
  • Highly organised, autonomous, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to document complex business requirements clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proactive, highly motivated, and able to learn quickly.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
  • English as a working language (must). Additional business or technical knowledge (architecture, programming, network, protocols, recovery) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated planning and estimating skills in a high‑change, multi‑discipline environment.
