Product Manager (m/f) – Public Safety & Security

Airbus Defence & Space is looking for a Product Manager (m/f) to join Public Safety & Security (PSS) at Elancourt, France. You will be part of a team developing and commercializing 3GPP‑based MCX Solutions. Within the Portfolio team you will be in charge of the product management of the MCX backend solution, aimed at nation‑wide deployments for public safety and defense segments.

Responsibilities

Definition of the roadmap and backlog management:

• Analyze market needs, technology evolution and competition
• Define product strategy of the MCX infrastructure (backend software, 3GPP interfaces, IT platforms)
• Guide R&D Engineering by managing the backlog for each release
• Manage solution evolution requests and arbitrate R&D budget allocation
• Develop migration strategies from Narrowband (Tetra / Tetrapol) to MCX
• Develop migration strategies from 3rd Party MCX to Airbus MCX
• Manage lifecycle of the solution

Commercial launch of the releases:

• Support creation of business model, pricing policy and go‑to‑market plan
• Provide content for marketing materials (white papers, brochures, sales guides, slide sets, online articles)
• Deliver product and roadmap presentations and promote at customer meetings, exhibitions, trade shows and within Airbus
• Deliver training to other teams (sales, business analysts, bids)
• Support negotiations with customers and associated bids (answer questions related to the solution, roadmap commitments, specific business model or pricing)

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience related to 4G/5G core networks or similar technologies for resilient backend infrastructure for large deployments
• Good understanding of relevant 3GPP standards
• Good knowledge of public safety and defence segments
• Customer‑oriented mindset and highly motivated to work in a collaborative environment
• Fluency in French and English

This position requires security clearance or eligibility for security clearance by recognized authorities.
