Product Manager MCX Infrastructure (M/F)

Product Manager (m/f) – Airbus Defence & Space, PSS

Location: Elancourt, France – within the Public Safety & Security (PSS) portfolio.

Overview

As part of the Portfolio team, you will manage the product and lifecycle of the MCX backend solution, a 3GPP‑based platform for nation‑wide deployments in public safety and defense segments.

Responsibilities

• Define the roadmap and manage the backlog by analyzing market needs, technology evolution, and competition.
• Set the product strategy for the MCX infrastructure, including backend software, 3GPP interfaces, and IT platforms.
• Guide R&D engineering, manage the release backlog, arbitrate R&D budget allocation, and oversee solution evolution requests.
• Develop migration strategies from Narrowband (Tetra/Tetrapol) to MCX and from third‑party MCX to Airbus MCX.
• Manage the lifecycle of the solution.
• Commercial launch of releases: support business model creation, pricing policy, go‑to‑market plan.
• Create marketing materials (white papers, brochures, sales guides, slide sets, online articles).
• Deliver product and roadmap presentations, promote at customer meetings, exhibitions, and trade shows.
• Train other teams (sales, business analysts, bid teams).
• Support negotiations with customers and bids (answer questions on the solution, roadmap commitments, specific business model or pricing).

Qualifications

• Minimum 10years of experience in 4G/5G core networks or similar technologies for resilient backend infrastructure in large deployments.
• Good understanding of relevant 3GPP standards.
• Strong knowledge of public safety and defense segments.
• Customer‑oriented mindset and highly motivated to work in a collaborative environment.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Position requires security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.
