The Senior Product Developer is a key leader within MIROVA’s Product team. He/She is responsible for driving the end‑to‑end development and lifecycle management of MIROVA’s listed product range, from strategic ideation to market launch and post‑launch optimization. The role combines strategic thinking, strong project leadership, and deep knowledge of investment products to ensure MIROVA’s offering remains differentiated, competitive, and aligned with client needs and regulatory requirements.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Co‑define and refine MIROVA’s medium‑ to long‑term product strategy across listed assets with the Product Intelligence team, in line with corporate objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Lead in‑depth market, client, and competitor analyses to identify product gaps, innovation opportunities, and risks.
  • Produce high‑impact strategic recommendations and business cases for senior management and governance bodies.
  • Oversee and leverage product intelligence (performance, flows, peer analysis, pricing, positioning) produced by junior analysts, ensuring insights are translated into actionable initiatives.

2. Product Development

  • Lead the full product development lifecycle (ideation, feasibility, design, validation, implementation, launch, and post‑launch review)
  • Coordinate product development projects and challenge contributions from all stakeholders (investment teams, legal, risk, compliance, operations, distribution, marketing, finance) to secure robust, scalable, and compliant product structures.
  • Ensure time‑to‑market and quality of product launches, managing project plans, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee operational readiness (documentation, systems, reporting, data, client communications) prior to launch.

3. Product Governance & Lifecycle Management

  • Steer and contribute actively to Product Committees and other internal governance bodies:
    • Present new product proposals, modifications, and rationalization initiatives.
    • Challenge and validate business cases and risk assessments.
  • Drive the ongoing review of the existing product range (profitability, client usage, performance, strategic relevance, ESG alignment).
  • Ensure continuous alignment with regulatory frameworks and internal policies (e.g., SFDR, MiFID, local regulations), in close coordination with Legal, Compliance, and Risk.
  • Define and refine product positioning, key differentiators, and value proposition in collaboration with Distribution, CPM, Investor Relations and Marketing.
  • Support major commercial initiatives (RFPs/RFIs, seed investor discussions, strategic partnerships) with product expertise and tailored structuring.
  • Provide advanced product training and act as a reference point for sales teams and key clients on product features, strategy, and competitive landscape.
  • Contribute to the creation and validation of marketing and sales materials (presentations, factsheets, brochures, white papers).
  • Represent the Product team in internal strategic projects and, where relevant, with external stakeholders (partners, distributors, regulators, service providers).

DESIRED PROFILE

Education

  • Master’s degree from a top business school, engineering school, or university, with a specialization in finance, economics, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5–10+ years of experience in product development/management within asset management, with a focus on listed assets.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross‑border product projects from conception to launch.
  • Experience working in an ESG/sustainable investment environment is a strong plus.

Skills

  • Solid, hands‑on knowledge of investment products and vehicles: UCITS, AIFs, ETFs, fund of funds, and mandates.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environments affecting product design and distribution (e.g., UCITS/AIFMD, MiFID, SFDR, PRIIPs, local regulations).
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills; ability to convert data and market intelligence into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is an asset.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities, able to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders constructively, with sound judgment and a solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present complex topics clearly and convincingly to senior management and clients
