- The design team consists of 35+ product designers working across different tracks divided into cross-functional squads consisting of Engineering, Product, and Design.
- The culture is built on autonomy, trust, and transparency, with designers expected to actively contribute from defining the problem space to **user research** and testing.
- We are seeking a Product Designer with strong B2B product design experience to help elevate and maintain an excellent user experience for our accountants and businesses in a highly collaborative environment.
- Within one month: Learn about the company, teams, and vision during onboarding; familiarize yourself with the product and the accounting industry through documentation and peer-organized trainings; gain deep knowledge of the Product and Design organization, methods, and culture; get acquainted with the Design team, the PM, squad engineers, and users.
- Within 3 months: Lead discovery and **user research** sessions by diving into data, user feedback, and business goals; ensure continuous delivery within your scope (including low-to-high fi and **prototypes**) in consistency with the **design system**; contribute to the team effort by reviewing peers and tackling transversal topics.
- Within 6 months: Mentor junior Product Designers; participate in the recruitment of new team members; benchmark the global tech ecosystem for **UX/UI** practices to create the best experience for Pennylane products.
- Beyond: Manage new Designers; take on increased responsibilities in project leadership; implement new processes, tools, and best practices to improve team workflow.
The ability to understand problems and empathize with users through **user research** and data analysis, turning results into actionable insights.
Experience working closely with dedicated developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand technical constraints, align on project goals, and iterate on design solutions.
Great communication skills and the ability to share knowledge with others, in the team and beyond, in a meaningful way.
Excellent visual design skills with experience working on complex systems, including multiple modules, advanced features, and intricate data structures.
The ability to document design decisions and work with engineers and product managers to drive projects forward, challenge limitations, adjust schedules, find alternatives, and advocate for solutions.
Experience generating new opportunities and ideas to improve processes, products, and culture.
Hands-on experience coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team.
Fluency in both French and English, with the ability to run **user interviews** in French being a must.## Compensation & Benefits
