Procurement Sustainability Officer - Substance Transparency & Obsolescence Management (M/F)
Role Overview
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Procurement Sustainability Officer (m/f) to join our Procurement department based in Toulouse. You will work within the Procurement Sustainability department, a cornerstone of our future‑ready industrial transformation, aiming to design, lead, and unlock the full potential of our Sustainable Supply Chain Roadmap (SSCR) to de‑risk current operational flows and prepare the procurement ecosystem for future milestones up to 2030 and beyond.

Responsibilities
- Lead & Guide: Provide permanent expertise, guidance, and support to Procurement employees and suppliers, cascade critical information via clear directives, guidelines, and custom‑built training programmes.
- De‑Risk & Anticipate: Manage the Foundation Program, execute day‑to‑day risk management, identify regulatory infringements, monitor obsolescence, and put corrective actions in place to safeguard operational business continuity.
- Drive Transformation: Lead specific strategic initiatives and work‑packages to ensure long‑term value chain circularity and prepare the procurement ecosystem for upcoming environmental milestones.
- Unify the Front: Identify synergies across diverse Procurement divisions and affiliates to ensure a single, unified corporate front towards our global supplier network.
- Industry Diplomacy: Act as the Procurement representative in key multi‑functional teams and, when required, represent Airbus in prestigious external aerospace forums, advocate for substance usage and develop shared industry standards.
Qualifications
- University degree in Procurement, Engineering, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), or a technical discipline capable of understanding how substance regulations impact aerospace products and processes.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably within a complex, highly regulated transnational manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of procurement organisation and activities, combined with strong project management experience and technical curiosity to dive deep into chemical/substance regulations and administrative compliance dossiers.
- A connector and team player with excellent stakeholder management skills, strong interpersonal communication, and a proven talent for fostering positive dynamics and managing change.
- Global mobility: Fluency in English; German and/or French is a strong plus. Willingness to travel up to 20% to stay connected with our global production sites.
