About Our Client
Our client is a global engineering and technology organization developing advanced solutions for defence, aerospace, communications, precision timing and high-performance electronic systems. As part of their continued investment in next-generation frequency control technologies, they are expanding their Centre of Excellence and are seeking an experienced Principal OCXO Design Head to lead the development of world-class ultra‑low phase noise oscillator solutions.

Job Summary
Reporting into the Global Leadership, the candidate will be based in Bangalore, India and will lead architecture and development of high‑performance Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO) products.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and optimising ultra‑low phase noise OCXO architectures for defence, aerospace and precision timing applications.
- Developing oscillator circuits, sustaining amplifiers and thermal control systems to achieve phase noise and frequency stability performance.
- Selecting, characterising and optimising quartz crystal resonators and associated frequency control components.
- Performing circuit simulations, worst‑case analysis, reliability assessments and compliance evaluations.
- Developing automated test methodologies for phase noise, ageing, environmental validation.
- Supporting prototype‑to‑production transitions.
- Driving innovation across next‑generation timing technologies, including MEMS, advanced resonators and emerging oscillator solutions.
- Leading design reviews, technical trade studies and customer‑facing engineering discussions.
Profile
An ideal candidate will be an electrical engineer with (Master's, PhD preferred) with experience in frequency control products and ultra‑low noise analog/RF systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in OCXO, TCXO, VCXO or precision frequency control product design.
- Strong understanding of phase noise theory, Leeson's model and low‑noise amplifier design.
- Expertise in quartz resonator physics, thermal control systems and precision analog design.
- Experience using tools such as ADS, AWR Microwave Office, SPICE, MATLAB and Python.
- Familiarity with aerospace, defence or high‑reliability engineering standards.
