Position Overview
Serco has a great opportunity for you! As a Power Platform Developer supporting our active contract with the U.S. Navy in the Washington, DC area, you will be an integral part of the team tasked to build and refine Power Apps and Power BI solutions in the Navy Flank Speed (Microsoft 365) environment. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact on our military defense and the safety of our sailors. The NAVSEA 05Z Marine Engineering Directorate provides the engineering and scientific expertise necessary to design, build, maintain, repair, modernize, certify, and dispose of the Navy's ships, submarines, and associated warfare systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Power Platform solutions to automate processes, improve data visibility, and enhance decision‑making capabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Integrate and customize SharePoint Online and related M365 products, focusing on Power Apps and Power Automate to extend functionality and streamline workflows.
- Design, develop, and implement automated workflows utilizing Power Automate.
- Design and implement solutions leveraging Dataverse, SharePoint lists, and other data sources and connectors for Power Platform applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, SharePoint Online, and Power Apps to provide actionable insights.
- Develop and deliver end‑user training materials and provide comprehensive technical support.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for all developed solutions, committing to continuous review and iterative improvement of knowledge management resources and tools.
- Effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams while demonstrating the ability to work independently and manage individual tasks.
- Create and manage Power BI dataflows and semantic models to enable report creation and use.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret Security Clearance.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development, Computer Science or a related field.
- Three or more years of experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and/or Dataverse.
- Ability to travel up to 10 %.
Preferred Experience
- Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, and/or REST/Graph APIs, Power Fx, OData.
- Hands‑on experience in Navy Flank Speed/M365 and DoD data handling practices.
