Plastic Injection Mold Engineer

This position is a core technical role in the injection molding production of automotive plastic exterior parts. It is primarily responsible for the final approval of mold conditions before mass production and leads mold maintenance, engineering changes, and stability management during production .

Main Responsibilities

• Pre-Production Mold Approval and Handover , develop routine maintenance and operational guidelines for molds and conduct handover training for production teams.
• Mold Maintenance and Troubleshooting during production , propose preventive improvement solutions through root cause analysis of repairs to reduce recurrence rates.
• Manage Mold Engineering Changes , track mold trials and production validation post-change to ensure mold condition meets production requirement.
• Manage Mold Stability and conduct continuous improvement , lead or participate in mold life extension projects and reduce the downtime.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: College diploma or above in Mold Design, Mechanical Manufacturing, Material Forming, or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in injection mold engineering for automotive plastic parts.
• Familiar with the complete mold manufacturing process and capable of independently analyzing mold structures and solving complex failures.

Professional Knowledge and Skills

• Proficient in injection mold structures and materials, skilled in common mold repair techniques .
• Understanding of injection molding process fundamentals and ability to collaborate with process engineers on parameter optimization.
• Strong on-site problem-solving skills and hands‑on ability.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively across production, quality, purchasing, and other departments.
• Highly responsible, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
