Role Summary
As Plant Manager, you will oversee the full operational, safety, quality, and people agenda for the site. You will drive the plant’s strategic direction while ensuring flawless day‑to‑day execution.
Responsibilities
Safety & Environment
- Champion a Zero‑Incident culture
- Ensure compliance with strict industrial, chemical, and environmental regulations
- Lead safety training, risk prevention, and emergency decision‑making
Operational Performance
- Oversee production in injection, assembly, and electroplating
- Drive operational KPIs including OEE, waste, throughput, uptime, and labor efficiency
- Ensure stable, predictable operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
Quality & Customer Satisfaction
- Guarantee product quality and traceability
- Lead audits, compliance, and continuous quality improvements
- Support customer requirements, specifications, and audits
Leadership & People Development
- Lead a team of 6 direct reports + dotted lines in Finance, HR, and R&D
- Develop talent, ensure succession planning, and build technical capabilities
- Maintain a positive and constructive social climate with unions
P&L Ownership & Financial Performance
- Manage site financials including €50M sales and 20% EBITDA
- Optimize material usage, energy consumption, and labor productivity
- Ensure disciplined CAPEX planning and cost‑efficient operations
Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean initiatives (5S, SMED, Kaizen, waste reduction)
- Drive automation, modernization, and process improvements
- Support innovation, sustainability, and introduction of new materials
Qualifications
- 10+ years in manufacturing with senior leadership in complex industrial environments
- Strong technical foundation (engineering, plastics, injection moulding, or similar)
- Experience managing P&L, cost levers, and investment decisions
- Strong understanding of French labor law and unionized environments
- Leadership of multidisciplinary teams (production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, industrialisation, EHS)
- Working knowledge of Lean tools and continuous improvement practices
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and conflict‑resolution skills
- A data‑driven, analytical approach to performance management
Education
- Master’s degree in Engineering preferred
- Bachelor’s degree acceptable with significant experience
