What you'll do

• Lead a team of developers in the design, development, and deployment of scalable PHP applications tailored for B2B clients.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Oversee code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in coding standards, performance, and security.
• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on technical challenges and fostering their professional growth.
• Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies within the team, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring that the technical direction aligns with business goals.
• Monitor application performance and implement optimization strategies to enhance user experience.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, integrating relevant advancements into the development process.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring a cohesive approach to project execution.
• Participate in troubleshooting and debugging efforts, providing solutions to complex technical issues.
• Document processes, technical specifications, and system designs to maintain clear and comprehensive project records.
• Assist in the recruitment process by evaluating candidates and participating in interviews to build a strong development team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a PHP developer, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Strong understanding of B2B SaaS applications and the unique challenges they present.
• Proficiency in PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony, with a solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js or React).
• Familiarity with database management systems, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git, and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deploying and managing applications.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a software development team.
