Optical Components Specialist (f/m) – Toulouse, France
About the Role
You will be part of the environment and system standard parts team, developing and qualifying electrical and optical system components for application across various aeronautical programs, from specification to in‑service support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and qualification of optical products, ensuring validation of associated design deliverables.
- Represent the engineering department within cross‑functional teams, collaborating closely with procurement, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing.
- Develop innovative optical solutions to meet future needs such as increased cabin entertainment capacity or lighter avionics data networks.
- Manage relationships with worldwide suppliers and subcontractors to ensure product quality and delivery.
- Investigate and solve technical issues arising in‑service or during manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Significant professional experience in optical engineering or in optical and electrical system installation.
- Strong knowledge of environmental conditions (electromagnetic interference, corrosion, vibration) and associated test methods.
- Proven experience in systems engineering and project management within an industrial context.
- Ability to investigate complex problems, construct solid analyses, and identify root causes.
- Advanced level in English is mandatory to communicate effectively in a transnational environment.
