Office Document and Presentation Evaluator

IXO is engaging specialists to evaluate the usefulness and correctness of professional spreadsheets, presentations and documents. Your contribution is technical work: make the reasoning inspectable, identify substantive errors and provide evidence that supports a reliable assessment.

Work you will do

• Design realistic Office tasks that require business reasoning as well as competent use of Excel, PowerPoint or Word.
• Compare and revise model-generated documents across multiple turns, explaining the difference between an attractive deliverable and an accurate one.
• Check spreadsheet formulas, transformations and automation where relevant; assess presentation hierarchy, charts, typography, layout and narrative in the presentation track.
• Record clear quality judgments for Office Open XML files and the assumptions behind the underlying business analysis.

Required background and routes

• Choose an Office specialty in which you already produce professional work. Presentation review requires advanced PowerPoint, including its design and animation features, and an understanding of visual communication.
• The US advanced-Excel route requires residence in the United States, demonstrated professional progression, and practical use of dynamic arrays, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, PivotTables, Power Query, Power Pivot, dashboards, data models and VBA/macros.

Preferred background

• For enterprise-document scenarios, three or more recent years creating complex Office deliverables in Fortune 500 businesses or major consultancies are preferred. Relevant functions include strategy, marketing, HR, sales, operations and finance, across sectors such as healthcare, retail and technology.
• Excel breadth across industries, teaching experience, a doctorate or previous annotation/rubric work are advantages. Prior AI experience is not required for the general document track.
• For presentations, preferred experience includes multi-industry design, brand guidance, design training, data storytelling and infographics. Adobe tools, Figma, Keynote or Google Slides are useful alternatives; iterative LLM use is also helpful.

Deliverables

Submit the completed technical artifact or assessment with its supporting evidence, explicit assumptions, reproducible checks where applicable, and concise reasons for each material judgment. Address review findings within the agreed scope.

Location and schedule

A regional track is open to residents of United States. Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with no guaranteed weekly volume. Availability planning can include 40, 20 hours per week depending on the track. IXO confirms the applicable timing before work.

Pay and working terms

$75 $105/hr USD. The agreed hourly rate, scope, schedule and acceptance criteria are confirmed before work starts. Applying does not guarantee an assignment.
