Nuclear Project Engineer – France (13) – 6 Months

DCAI is currently supporting a major engineering organisation involved in the delivery of strategic nuclear projects in France. As part of ongoing project development activities, we are seeking experienced Project Engineering Coordinators / Project Engineers to strengthen project teams and ensure the successful delivery of multidisciplinary engineering packages. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring technical consistency, planning adherence, cost control, supplier follow-up, and interface management between engineering disciplines and project stakeholders. This position requires previous experience in the nuclear industry and strong project engineering coordination capabilities within complex industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all stakeholders involved in assigned projects.
• Organise and facilitate project steering, technical coordination, progress review and project management meetings.
• Coordinate technical activities across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, milestones, budgets and deliverables.
• Develop and monitor relevant project KPIs and reporting indicators.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for project management.
• Establish and maintain project risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor supplier activities during engineering, procurement and execution phases.
• Coordinate mechanical and structural engineering studies performed by external suppliers.
• Manage technical interfaces between engineering disciplines.
• Ensure consistency between project teams, engineering departments and external contributors.
• Support contract management activities related to project execution.
• Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Profile

• Previous experience within the nuclear sector.
• Minimum 7 years of overall professional experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project engineering, project coordination or project management roles.
• Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities.
• Strong understanding of project planning, reporting, risk management and cost control.
• Experience managing technical interfaces between multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Professional English level.
• Experience working on EDF, Framatome, Edvance, Orano, CEA or equivalent nuclear projects.
• Experience within EPC, engineering consultancy or owner's engineer environments.
• Knowledge of supplier management and procurement follow-up.
• Experience in mechanical and structural engineering projects.
• Familiarity with nuclear quality and safety requirements.
