Nuclear BIM Designer – France – 6 Months

DCAI is currently supporting a major engineering programme within the nuclear sector and is seeking an experienced Senior General Installation Designer / BIM Designer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team. The successful consultant will contribute to the development of complex industrial and nuclear facilities, producing detailed engineering deliverables and 3D models while coordinating with project engineers and technical leads.

• Perform complete technical design studies on medium to high complexity projects.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, layouts, schematics and 3D models.
• Produce and maintain BIM and installation models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in the definition and optimisation of technical solutions alongside engineers and project managers.
• Ensure the quality, consistency and compliance of technical deliverables.
• Coordinate interfaces between different engineering disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers and draftspersons.
• Contribute to design reviews and project technical meetings.

Profile

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in industrial design and modelling.
• Proven experience in complex industrial environments, preferably nuclear, energy, process, infrastructure or heavy industry projects.
• Strong proficiency with:
  • E3D
  • AutoCAD
  • MicroStation
  • Plant 3D
  • Revit
• Experience producing multidisciplinary installation models and technical documentation.
• Ability to work autonomously within large engineering projects.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
