Nontenure Faculty Pool - Civil Engineering Program in , us
Overview
The Ingram School of Engineering seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty positions to teach in the Civil Engineering Program. This posting is for the spring 2025 and summer 2025 semesters. Successful candidates will be available to the Civil Engineering Program search committee for consideration in case the need arises.
Responsibilities
- Teach one to four courses per semester based on student demand.
- Participate in annual performance evaluations for reappointment.
- Maintain continuity of funding and meet school needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum: a master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
- Preferably a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong academic background in structural engineering.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Previous experience teaching undergraduate or graduate engineering courses as instructor of record.
- Expertise with technology‑enhanced infrastructure.
- Industry and/or government experience.
