Music Supervisor – Freelance

• Analyze creative and budget briefs and conduct music research with labels, publishers, and record companies
• Select pre-existing tracks that align with campaign briefs and budgets
• Create tailored music playlists for agency clients
• Contribute to the creation and development of brand music identities
• Monitor the music landscape and identify new artists, tracks, independent labels, and publishers in France and internationally
• Provide artistic direction for Prose on Pixels’ weekly live sessions and contribute to their programming
• Participate in organizing monthly music events
• Create a weekly Spotify playlist featuring new albums and EPs
• Negotiate publishing and master recording rights with labels, publishers, and record companies
• Clear selected tracks and obtain the necessary permissions
• Manage contracts with the legal team and ensure rights are properly secured
• Serve as the primary point of contact for labels, publishers, and record companies
• Coordinate the stakeholders involved in music projects
• Prepare quotes and purchase orders and follow up on them
• Monitor invoice payments and the onboarding of new vendors

Requirements

• Significant experience in music supervision, ideally in an advertising or creative environment
• Excellent knowledge of music
• Strong curiosity about emerging artists
• Ability to quickly identify tracks suited to a creative brief
• Proficiency in music rights, negotiation, and clearance
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
• Creative sensibility
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a dynamic, international environment
• Availability for an assignment from mid-September through the end of February
• Freelance status
