The University of Angers has 27,000 students (incluging 4 000 international), 1,037 professors, around 1,400 professionals and nearly 700 staff members, 400 different degrees, partnerships with national public centers (CNRS, INRAE, INSERM), 450 institutions collaborated all over the world with the UA in the framework of research or education agreements. As a postdoctoral candidate, you will be offered from our Euraxess center assistance and administrative support upon your arrival regarding visa requirements, accommodation, childcare services, social security, etc. You also have the opportunity to join French languages classes, sport and culture activities and will have access to the training offers for personnel from the University of Angers.

We offer a dedicated Masterclass for selected fellows :
- Funding of a 3-days mobility to Angers to meet the supervisor, have dedicated writing sessions and discover the research environment and the city. The mobility must take place before mid-July.
- Individual mentorship and proofreading until the deadline to help shape your research proposal with a European project advisor
- Proposal writing support with webinars dedicated to writing tips, training plan section (21.05), impact section (04.06°, testimony and tips from a MSCA evaluator (25.06)
- Access to an online Moodle course with writing tips available at your own pace
Eligibility :
Applicants must comply with the mobility rule (having stayed in France less than 12 months in the past 3 years before the 9th of September 2026). Applicants also must have maximum 8 full years of experience in research after graduating their (first) PhD. You can calculate your experience using this tool :
