Job responsibilities

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

As Merchandising Manager of Silhouette (Ready-to-Wear and Shoes), and part of the Merchandising department, you will participate in Japan Retail Merchandising organization and CELINE WW Merchandising community, and you will be in charge of driving the sales for Japan market and controlling inventories with strategic and holistic vision

This experience enable you to enrich strategic vision for luxury fashion business in Merchandising field.

You will have the opportunity to learn the full cycle of luxury fashion business and retail merchandising in a growing house.

Your impact

Buying and Merchandising

• Participate in buying sessions in Paris
• Implement effective and structured buys, aligned with strategic vision of the maison
• Ensure right product allocation by store, matching with the sales needs and with respective retail actions
• Partner with local and HQ functions (Supply Chain, Retail, VM, Ecom, Clienteling, PR and so on) to maximize sales of the categories
• Set actions and monitor KPI’s based on the buying strategies and to achieve sales targets and seasonal sell through
• Implement product knowledge trainings for the stores based on the buys and motivate them to accelerate sales

Analysis and Feedback

• Seek business opportunities for the category growth and propose actions
• Listen closely to the stores and share qualitative feedback and analysis to HQ
• Conduct market research regularly on the competition to share with HQ for better understanding of the market

Team Management

• Promote teamwork and lead open-minded working environment
• Develop, coach and lead the team member

Profile

Education:

• Business School, University or “equivalent experience”

Experience:

• Position requires experience of buying in Luxury Fashion brand with managerial responsibility.
• Strong passion and loyalty to the brand
• Self-motivated
• Good sense and knowledge on fashion and retail business
• Strategic planning & analysis skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Ability to travel

Languages : Fluent in both Japanese and English
