Job Description

We are looking for a strategic and execution-driven Media Strategy Manager to own the development and execution of Salomon’s global media strategies.

In this role, you will ensure alignment between media investments and global marketing objectives, drive cross-functional collaboration, and maximize ROI across all channels. You will act as the key liaison between Global Marketing, Product & Experience, eCommerce, Regional teams, and external agencies.

Global Media Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and implement Salomon’s global media strategy in alignment with brand positioning and marketing objectives.
  • Lead the global media planning process, ensuring timelines are respected and cross-functional integration is seamless.
  • Coordinate media campaign briefings and sign-off discussions, ensuring clarity on objectives, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Ensure media placements are strategically timed to support key marketing initiatives.
Budget & Performance Management
  • Collaborate with Finance and Marketing Insights to manage working and non‑working media budgets.
  • Optimize media spend allocation based on campaign performance and evolving market conditions.
  • Continuously analyze media performance in collaboration with the Insights & Analytics team to maximize effectiveness and ROI.
  • Maintain and update the global media calendar with a strong understanding of regional interdependencies.
Agency & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage relationships with global media agencies, ensuring clear communication of strategies and expectations.
  • Negotiate and oversee agency performance to secure optimal campaign execution.
  • Act as a liaison between Marketing, Product & Experience, eCommerce, Retail Experience, PR, Creative, Finance, Legal, and regional teams.
  • Promote transparency and insight sharing to strengthen future media decision‑making.
Leadership & Governance
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy while ensuring alignment with top management budget frameworks.
  • Influence media strategies and operational decisions across functions.
  • Manage Media Strategy Specialists and external providers (agencies).

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 8‑10 years of experience in media strategy or marketing management.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and media management.
  • Industry knowledge in fashion, running, lifestyle, or footwear is a strong plus.
  • Excellent project management and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ROI‑driven decision‑making capabilities.
  • Collaborative leadership style with strong communication skills.
  • Fluent English and French is required.
