Marketplace Account Manager
Sellingz is a specialist agency helping brands grow and protect their business on marketplaces across Europe and worldwide. From Amazon to Cdiscount, Zalando to bol.com, we partner with brand teams to build winning marketplace strategies — covering advertising, content, data analytics, and operational excellence.
Based in Annecy (French Alps), we combine a passion for e-commerce with deep marketplace expertise. Our team thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where every team member has a direct impact on our clients’ success.
Our values: operational excellence, teamwork, innovation, and transparency.
The Role
We are looking for a Marketplace Account Manager to join our growing team.
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of brand clients. Your mission: drive their marketplace performance by combining strategic thinking, data analysis, and hands‑on execution.
This is an individual contributor role focused on client account management — not people management. You will collaborate with internal specialists (advertising, content, logistics, tech) to deliver results for your clients.
Key Responsibilities
Client Account Management
- Own and manage a portfolio of brand accounts, serving as their trusted marketplace advisor
- Define, execute, and iterate marketplace strategies aligned with each client’s business goals
- Manage brand plans, project timelines, and performance forecasts (revenue, ROAS, market share)
- Analyse account profitability and identify growth opportunities across marketplaces
- Deliver regular client reporting with actionable insights and strategic recommendations
- Ensure all client objectives and KPIs are met or exceeded
Internal Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal teams (advertising, SEO, content, logistics) to execute client projects
- Brief and align specialists on client requirements, timelines, and deliverables
- Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes, tools, and best practices
- Participate in marketplace intelligence and competitive monitoring
Marketplace Operations
- Monitor and optimise product listings, pricing, and content across marketplaces
- Analyse marketplace data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities
- Stay current on marketplace algorithm changes, new features, and industry best practices
- Support clients with operational troubleshooting (case management, account health, compliance)
Your Profile
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience working with marketplaces (Amazon Seller Central / Vendor Central, or equivalent platforms)
- Proven experience in client account management — agency side, brand side, or B2B client‑facing roles
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX‑MATCH, data modelling)
- Solid project management skills: ability to juggle multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines
- Fluent English — C1 or C2 level (daily interactions with European clients and partners)
- Fluent French (written and spoken)
- Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate effectively with diverse audiences (clients, technical teams, senior leadership)
- Results‑driven and solution‑oriented mindset
Nice to Have
- Experience with marketplace advertising tools (Amazon Ads, Pacvue, Helium 10, Jungle Scout)
- Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio)
- Experience on European marketplaces beyond Amazon (Leroy Merlin, Decathlon, Cdiscount, Zalando, bol.com, Otto)
- Knowledge of SEO/SEA applied to marketplaces
- A third European language is a plus
Education
Business school, university degree (Bachelor’s to Master’s), or equivalent experience validated through a strong track record in e-commerce / marketplace management.
- Base salary : €34,000 – €42,000 gross per year (depending on experience)
