About Madrigal:

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a liver disease with high unmet medical need. Madrigal's medication, (Rezdiffra), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. This is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating (Rezdiffra) for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c).

Position Summary:

As part of Madrigal's growth strategy, the company is establishing European operations to prepare for the commercialization and launch of its products. The Marketing Head, France, will be responsible for developing and executing successful pre-launch and launch tactical plans, gathering local and international insights to adapt and reshape adequately the plans. This leader will build and maintain close relationships with internal stakeholders, especially Medical, Sales & regulatory teams, external agencies, and opinion leaders in France.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing responsibility for the launch of Madrigal's Rezdiffra in the French market.
  • Maximize the commercial potential of Madrigal's products through the development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing plans in collaboration with Regional/Global Marketing.
  • Lead the marketing strategy and execution.
  • Ensure strategic alignment across functions and seamless roll-out of pre-launch, launch, and post-launch marketing activities.
  • Partner with the Sales Manager(s) to optimize the brand performance via message management and the development of promotional materials.
  • Partner and equip the Sales Force to enable maximization of Rezdiffra potential.
  • Implement market research activities identified as needed to document strategy and initiatives.
  • Manage marketing budgets appropriately to ensure expenditure is aligned with the launch plan.
  • Ensure that all marketing activities are compliant with Madrigal Legal & Compliance guidance and local regulations including:

-Promotional rules as defined by the Code de la Santé Publique ;

-Dispositif d'encadrement des avantages

-Recommendation from the French trade association may be required, if Madrigal joins a professional organization such as LEEM.

Experience and Professional Qualifications required

  • Successful launch experience in specialty and/or rare disease, preferably in the specific therapeutic area.
  • Experience of specialty products in highly competitive markets. Experience in MASH market would be a plus.
  • Highly scientific profile with the ability to take on board new and complex clinical information.
  • Documented success in new markets with first-in-class products.
  • Ability to shape and articulate the value story of therapeutics.
  • Sales and field experience would be advantageous.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in science, pharmacy, or medical science competed with Master's in marketing and/or business administration
  • Fluency in French and in English
