Role Overview
Gartner is seeking a Market Lead – France to lead and accelerate the growth of Gartner Consulting across the French commercial enterprise market. This senior market leadership role requires a consulting executive with a proven track record of personally originating and growing strategic client relationships. The successful candidate will be accountable for driving sustained growth, expanding Gartner Consulting’s presence in France, and leading a high‑performing consulting team.
Key Responsibilities
Business Building
- Lead the growth of Gartner Consulting in France, contributing to the go‑to‑market strategy and three‑year growth plan, while assuming responsibility for execution in the market.
- Personally originate, shape, and close strategic consulting opportunities, while coaching Partners to build pipeline, develop win plans, and improve commercial conversion.
- Convert existing Gartner executive relationships into high‑value consulting engagements and build a strong pipeline across priority enterprise clients.
- Drive growth in bookings and revenue through a combination of personal business development, team leadership, and collaboration across the Gartner ecosystem.
- Position Gartner Consulting as a trusted partner for IT strategy and technology‑led transformation.
- Work as part of the Regional Leadership Team, collaborating with peers across industries and consulting specialisms.
Client Leadership
- Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, COOs, CEOs, and senior business leaders.
- Nurture client relationships both within and beyond active engagements, advising C‑suite executives on strategic business priorities.
- Act as a senior advisor on technology strategy, digital transformation, operating model evolution, and enterprise modernization.
- Identify client issues early and shape consulting propositions around mission‑critical priorities.
- Take a coaching approach to support Partners with solutioning on must‑win engagements.
- Collaborate with Partners to build anchor account relationships and promote team solutioning in shaping deals in accordance with our strategic priorities.
- Coach Partners and work with colleagues across Gartner to drive account planning, opportunity prioritization, and win plans.
- Lead executive‑level conversations that create demand before formal buying processes begin.
Thought Leadership and Market Positioning
- Increase awareness and relevance of Gartner Consulting in the French enterprise market.
- Represent Gartner Consulting externally with senior clients and market stakeholders.
- Continually assess market demand, competitive dynamics, priority accounts, and emerging client needs.
- Define points of view aligned to clients’ mission‑critical priorities across commercial industries.
- Partner closely with Gartner Research and broader Gartner teams to identify and convert consulting opportunities.
- Reinforce relevant market campaigns in France, working with Partners to execute demand generation activities.
- Work with Partners and Practice Leaders to promote collaborative solutioning, ensuring appropriate scoping, resourcing, and pricing.
- Leverage Gartner’s internal network to connect clients and teams with the most relevant expert resources.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and scale a team of consulting professionals in France, including Partners, Directors, and Consultants.
- Build a strong performance culture focused on growth, client impact, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
- Support recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning for the French consulting team.
- Serve as a mentor and coach to current and prospective Partners, helping build followership across the broader talent pool.
- Work effectively across Gartner’s matrix to bring the best of the firm to clients. Promote diversity, inclusion, engagement, and professional development across the team.
- Embody Gartner’s leadership principles and model a high‑performance, client‑centric mindset.

Background and Experience
- 15+ years of relevant professional experience, with significant experience in consulting, technology advisory, or technology‑led business transformation.
- Current or recent experience at Partner, Managing Director, Senior Partner, Market Lead, Client Portfolio Lead, or equivalent level.
- Demonstrated experience driving growth in a consulting environment, with clear evidence of personal business development impact.
- Extensive experience serving large enterprise clients across commercial industries.
- Deep experience leading senior consulting teams as a “leader of leaders,” using a collaborative leadership style to mobilize teams and drive performance.
- Ability to gain and sustain executive relationships as a trusted business advisor, with strong commercial credibility in the French enterprise market.
- Client‑centric approach, with demonstrated understanding of clients’ mission‑critical priorities.
- Highly experienced in leading consulting engagements and coaching senior engagement teams.
- Ability to effectively communicate the Gartner Consulting value proposition in the market.
- Strong credibility in IT strategy, CIO advisory, digital transformation, technology operating model, enterprise architecture, cloud, data, AI, ERP transformation, or technology modernization.
- Experience operating successfully in a matrixed, international organization.
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with fluency in both French and English.
