Manager Commercial and Contracts (m/f)

Job Title

Manager Commercial and Contracts (f/m) – Airbus Defence and Space, Telecom & Navigation Commercial and Contracts Team, Toulouse, France.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the business throughout the full contract life cycle including sales and marketing activities (proposal preparation, negotiation) and program delivery (contract monitoring and close‑out).
• Prepare prime telecoms and navigation satellite commercial and financial proposals, focusing on competitiveness, commercial risk anticipation and mitigation.
• Present proposals to management and implement commercial strategy.
• Prepare internal approval documentation for bid submission and contract signatures.
• Provide regular commercial briefings to senior management.
• Drafter, review, redline and negotiate agreements (MOAs, teaming agreements, NDAs, equipment contracts, services agreements, satellite and turnkey contracts).
• Support contract execution, enforce sales purchase agreements, manage milestone payments in alignment with finance, legal and other specialists.
• Manage claims, waivers and contract change notices, and monitor customer obligations throughout the contract life cycle.
• Support delivery and contract close‑out activities, financing, insurance and other commercial schemes.
• Design and implement complex contracting schemes involving multiple multi‑party agreements.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of experience in an international business environment.
• Strong knowledge of international contracts.
• Experience in contract drafting (asset).
• Track record in negotiating high value international contracts.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously and within a large project team.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player, able to integrate quickly into a multi‑national team.
• Open‑minded, positive mindset, adaptable to fast‑paced and changing environment.
• Willingness to undertake worldwide business travel.
• Eligible for security clearance or willing to obtain clearance.
• Awareness of potential compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity.
