Job Description

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Retrofit Procurement Manager to join our Customer Services Procurement for Equipment and Systems Team based in Toulouse, France.

We will be joining a multi‑functional team of 12 buyers with commercial and or technical expertise, each bringing strengths and competences, united by common objectives and team values.

Our role is to lead commercial and contractual negotiations to secure in‑service fleet retrofit campaigns for all programs (A300 to A350 & A220) and negotiate RSA (Retrofit Support Agreement) with suppliers during Call for Tenders.

Your challenges

  • Ensure retrofit negotiations outcome are in line with Program Support (SBx) decisions.
  • Establish and update a retrofit negotiation action plan for each retrofit, including negotiation strategy, budget, target must cost, lead‑time, etc.
  • Lead commercial negotiation on retrofit scope and/or coordinate procurement negotiation with supplier for each retrofit, establish contract and secure signature.
  • Define with x‑programme support organization after‑market strategy for complex projects on avionics sub‑commodities.
  • Contribute to Airbus cost savings & continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction and safety beyond standards objectives.
  • Produce appropriate reporting and briefings for management decisions.
  • Place orders to suppliers and administer related commercial contracts.
  • Monitor contract adjustments and manage recovery programs with suppliers during retrofit execution.
  • Negotiate RSA (Retrofit Support Agreement) with bidders during CFT.

Your boarding pass

  • 5‑year degree level in Engineering or Business school.
  • Experience in engineering, programme support, procurement operations or customer support with efficient project management.
  • Awareness on contracts with airlines is a plus.
  • Good influencing and communication skills / stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of autonomy & rigor.
  • Customer & goal oriented.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements.
  • Good technical understanding / curiosity for aircraft systems is a plus.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Team spirit / team player.
  • English negotiation level required.
