Freelance Maintenance Technician (Mechanical / Electrical / Automation) - Brittany, France

Opportunity

We are recruiting freelance maintenance technicians to support a highly automated industrial production site located in Brittany. This site is a center of excellence in its field, combining traditional know-how with Industry 4.0 technologies, including automation, advanced machinery, and data-driven performance tools.

As part of an on-site maintenance team, you will intervene across modern production lines and equipment. Your responsibilities include

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and/or automation issues
• Improving line reliability and performance through targeted technical interventions
• Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth operations

You’ll operate in an environment where precision, traceability, and performance are key priorities

• Automated and semi-automated production lines
• Mechanical systems, electrical installations, PLCs
• Industry 4.0 tools and modern machinery

This role is designed with freelancers in mind:

• Fixed shift options: morning, daytime, or afternoon
• Work 4 or 5 days per week, depending on availability
• On-site assignment with a collaborative team
• Possibility of recurring or extended missions
• Independent / freelance technician
• Technical background in maintenance, mechanics, electrotechnics, or automation
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work autonomously
• Comfortable working in a team-based industrial environment
• Reliable, proactive, and solution-oriented
• Multi-skilled profiles (mechanical + electrical / automation) are highly valued.
