About Everfield

Everfield buys, builds, and grows European vertical market and specialist software companies, providing them with the tools they need to move to the next level. Our mission is to foster ambition, fuel growth, and unlock opportunities for Europe's software ecosystem.

Companies in the Everfield ecosystem follow a decentralised model, maintaining their team, brand, and offices while focusing on what they do best—building products and supporting customers. Everfield provides support in talent acquisition, HR, and access to a team of experts in building and growing European B2B SaaS companies who consult on financial and operational topics.

Founded in 2022, Everfield has an ecosystem presence in more than 10 countries—and growing.

The Role

As Country Manager France M&A, you will be a key driver of Everfield's acquisition strategy in one of our most important markets. You will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and completing acquisitions of vertical and specialist software companies, while representing Everfield as a trusted partner for founders, CEOs, and industry leaders.

This is a senior, high-impact role with exposure to Everfield's leadership team and direct responsibility for delivering growth through acquisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and complete acquisitions of vertical and specialist software companies, including proper management of all related processes.

  • Identify and connect with software businesses across multiple sectors.

  • Lead targets through the full valuation and transaction process, from initial discussions to signing and closing deals.

  • Build and cultivate strong relationships with CEOs, investment bankers, and industry veterans.

  • Represent Everfield at meetings, trade shows, and conferences, with frequent travel.

  • Lead comprehensive due diligence workstreams (Finance, Tax, Tech, Legal, Commercial) and coordinate inputs from vendors, experts, and internal teams.

  • Negotiate SPAs and other legal agreements to ensure favorable terms and risk coverage for Everfield.

  • Coordinate internal resources to ensure smooth integration and handover of completed acquisitions.

  • Prepare financial models, scenario analyses, presentations, and materials for pitches and acquisition approvals.

  • Continuously refine the acquisitions playbook as the platform expands.

  • Build domain knowledge across verticals and document findings systematically.

  • Mentor and support junior members of the acquisitions team.

  • Ensure high-quality CRM usage and data management.

Experience Required
  • At least 6 years' experience evaluating companies in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or growth equity.

  • Strong preference for candidates with direct exposure to software and technology transactions.

Competencies

Professional

  • Deep understanding of all components of the transaction process: sourcing, execution, and closing.

  • Strong business, financial analysis, and legal skills.

  • Excellent negotiation and analytical abilities.

  • Clear investor mindset: pursue deals because they are good investments, not simply to "get a deal done."

Personal

  • Strong interest in and curiosity about software and technology.

  • Tenacious, energetic, and outgoing personality.

  • Ability to follow structured processes while also driving continuous improvement.

  • Hands-on and independent, with a collaborative team spirit.
