Legal Counsel Intern

Requirements

• Are studying for a Master’s degree specialising in ICT law or business law (Contracts, Intellectual Property, Digital Law, Media). A business school background would be an advantage
• Have a fluent command of English, enabling you to communicate with our international teams and draft memos or contracts in English
• Are looking for a fulfilling and rewarding experience in a young and dynamic company, with a great team to boot!
• Have at least some significant experience, ideally in a similar field. You have previously been involved in drafting and negotiating contracts
• Have a genuine interest in new technologies, the media and the digital sector
• Are organised, curious, meticulous and a team player

What the job involves

• You will join the Legal department and provide support to the operational teams across the group, based in Paris, London, Berlin and Tangier
• Your team will consist of Sophie, Head of Legal, and Matthieu, Legal Counsel
• Drafting and negotiating contracts and amendments in English and French (distribution agreements, licence agreements, NDAs, rights assignment agreements) and managing the signing and archiving process
• Monitoring legal and regulatory developments in key areas of our sector: press, intellectual property, personal data, IT security, etc
• Advising operational teams on legal issues and drafting legal memos
• You will be responsible for managing our SaaS contract library (Tomorro)
