Lead Product Designer (UX/UI) - Medtech SaaS

Matrix One is a leading provider of software solutions for life science companies, helping them design & build their products faster and safer. Our mission is to streamline the product development and compliance process, enabling companies to bring medical devices to market faster and more efficiently.

We’re looking for a Lead Product Designer (UX/UI) who sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, someone who can translate high‑level product vision into best‑in‑class user experiences, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to deliver them.

This isn’t a pure execution role. You’ll partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Stakeholders to shape how our product looks, feels, and works, bringing both business thinking and design excellence to every decision.

What you’ll do

• Own the end‑to‑end UX/UI process: from discovery and strategic framing to wireframes, prototypes, and pixel‑perfect delivery
• Build and maintain a robust Design System that ensures consistency, speed, and quality across the product
• Leverage AI‑powered tools to accelerate iteration cycles and push creative boundaries
• Collaborate daily with Product Owners, Engineers, and cross‑functional teams, acting as a bridge between user needs and business goals

What we’re looking for

• 8+ years of hands‑on Product Design experience (UX/UI)
• Experience mentoring or growing junior designers; you lead by example and elevate those around you
• Expert‑level proficiency in Figma, including advanced Design System creation and governance
• Strong business acumen, you understand the “why” behind product decisions, not just the “how”
• Fluent in using AI tools to prototype and iterate faster
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and turning requirements into clear, scalable solutions
• Excellent communication skills in English; you can present and defend design decisions to both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Based in Paris, or able to be on‑site frequently

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS, startup, or scaleup environments
• Background in a regulated industry (healthtech, medtech, fintech, or similar)
• Experience with ShadeCN Design System
