Lead Industrialisation
Gallium Defense is rewriting the rules of airspace security in the context of rapidly evolving drone threats. They design and build next-generation, military-grade radar systems that deliver high-performance 3D detection at competitive pricing — supporting growing demand and closing critical capacity gaps.
The Role
As their Lead Industrialisation , you will own the immediate challenge of coordinating the manufacturing of Gallium Defense's first test prototypes while simultaneously building the small-series production capability that follows. You will work with a mix of internal resources and external partners, serving as interim procurement lead until a dedicated function is established, navigating manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement in a fast-moving startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the manufacturing of first test prototypes end-to-end, managing timelines, subcontractors, internal resources, and quality checkpoints.
- Define and implement the manufacturing processes, tooling, work instructions, and supplier base needed to move from one-off prototypes to repeatable small-series production.
- Act as interim procurement lead: source and negotiate with component suppliers, manage BOMs, and track lead times until a dedicated function is in place.
- Work with R&D engineers to embed manufacturing constraints early through DFM reviews, cost reduction, and assembly simplification.
Experience and Background:
- Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- 5+ years of experience spanning at least two of: industrialization, manufacturing engineering, and procurement/supply chain.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate hardware manufacturing with external subcontractors.
- Hands-on, get-things-done profile, comfortable navigating ambiguity and owning problems outside core expertise.
- Experience with BOMs, ERP systems, and manufacturing documentation.
- Fluent French and professional technical English.
