About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Discipline Umbilical Engineer to join an international engineering team delivering complex offshore energy projects.

You will be responsible for leading the technical development of subsea umbilical systems throughout the entire project lifecycle, from tendering and engineering studies to manufacturing, testing and offshore installation support. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging SURF projects within a multidisciplinary and international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities related to subsea umbilical systems.
• Support market studies, client studies and tendering activities.
• Evaluate new technologies and supplier capabilities.
• Analyse client requirements and contribute to technical proposals.
• Support project execution from engineering through offshore operations.
• Review supplier documentation and engineering deliverables.
• Monitor manufacturing activities and qualification testing.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Support pre-commissioning engineering activities.
• Provide technical support for offshore installation methods.
• Support offshore integration testing and operational activities.
• Coordinate interfaces between Topside systems and SPS (Subsea Production Systems).
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution.

Required Profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Umbilical Engineering.
• Strong expertise in:
• Static Thermoplastic (ST) Umbilicals
• Thermoplastic Umbilicals (TPU)
• EFL / HFL
• Power Cables
• Subsea Control Systems
• Subsea Command Systems
• Strong understanding of Offshore Oil & Gas engineering.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, testing and offshore installation.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Professional level of English.
