Data is at the core of SCOR strategic plan Forward 2026 as one of its four enablers. The Data and Analytics Office (DAO) headed by the Group Chief Data & Analytics Officer is the unit responsible for the definition of the Data Strategy and its successful execution across the organization, through a well-governed data foundation, impactful data products and state-of-the-art advanced analytics / A.I. capabilities.

The DAO team, international and multi-cultural, mixes all skills (business, design, product, governance, engineering, analytics, AI) to make SCOR the reinsurer of tomorrow. Within the DAO, the Data Strategy & Governance team is at the forefront of the unit, interfacing business units and other parts of the organization with execution and delivery. It is responsible for driving SCOR data strategy (in full alignment with SCOR business strategy) and for ensuring its ownership lies within the business.
Influential member of the Data Strategy & Governance team, the Lead Data Governance will assume ownership of the data governance framework and leads its operationalization. Having developed a very good understanding of the data strategy for each business area of the company (e.g., Property and Casualty, Life & Health, Investments) as well as for the rest of the Group (Finance, Risk, Operations), she.he will work closely with all relevant business stakeholders, as well as data teams, to establish trust in underlying data assets backing the strategy. She.he will also manage the transition towards self-service data, ultimate step of SCOR data strategy towards 2026.

The Lead Data & AI Governance plays a pivotal role to align business initiatives with SCOR data strategy, through:- Ownership of the data & AI governance frameworks- Strategic engagement of relevant business stakeholders - vertically and horizontally- Leadership in executing the framework- Preparation for and deployment of self-service
Key duties and responsibilities
1.Ownership of data & AI governance frameworks:
- Expand the data governance framework, including development of new responsibilities and processes, to make sure it serves its business purposes and establishes trust in the data on a permanent basis
- Ensure the framework developments are built with, advertised to and adopted by its stakeholders (data stewards, custodians, DPO etc.)
- On the AI side, lead the design of the AI governance framework, with the implementation of the EU AI Act and subsequent AI regulations, in tight collaboration with the AI, IT and compliance teams
2.Strategic engagement of relevant business stakeholders:
- Alignment of senior stakeholders across the organization (e.g., business process owners) to validate and activate data stewards in sync with the roll out of SCOR data foundations
- Lead the necessary change management effort, including identification and support of data stewards
- Ensure ownership of quality metrics lies within business stakeholders, in alignment with business processes
- Lead the set-up of the data quality remediation mechanisms, in collaboration with all relevant senior stakeholders, on the business and IT sides
3.Leadership in executing the data governance framework:
- Lead the operationalization of all pillars of the data governance framework, including quality, in strong collaboration with the data foundation team
- Manage the development of tooling required for operationalization, including data platform developments
- Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, inc. Data Protection Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, to establish through corresponding policies and guidelines, and operationalize the protection of SCOR data assets
- Co-lead the set-up of the MDM framework across the organization, in strong collaboration with IT architecture, data foundation and data platform teams
4.Preparation for and deployment of self-service:
- Collaborate with technical leads, business stakeholders to define the self-service requirements (inc. governance, technical) for targeted deployment on specific segments and functions
- Co-lead the scaled deployment of the self-service framework across the organization, in collaboration with the data foundation team
Required experience & competencies
- Excellent command of data governance & data quality practices, as well as master data management
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with very senior stakeholders
- Ability to understand business processes across multiple activities
- Good technical data knowledge (infrastructure, modeling etc.)
- Previous experience in a data governance / data management role
- Experience in Palantir Foundry is a plus
- Fluenxy in English (written & spoken)
