The European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN, a public research organisation, is a not‑for‑profit European research infrastructure, specialising in multinational clinical research for all medical disciplines. ECRIN connects national clinical research networks, mostly academic clinical trial units having the capacity to manage clinical trials on the national level. It provides information, consultations and operational clinical trial tasks and services to Sponsors and/or investigators of clinical trials initiated by academic investigators or small and medium‑sized enterprises. ECRIN’s involvement covers all clinical trial activities, from study planning and preparation of grant applications to the set‑up and conduct of multinational clinical trials in any disease area. It also contributes to a growing portfolio of EU‑funded projects to develop new services, tools, and knowledge to meet the needs of medical research communities.
Position Overview
ECRIN is currently recruiting a Junior Legal Officer to be based at its headquarters in Paris, France. This is a 1‑year full‑time contract with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents including agreements, amendments, and mandatory documents required under the applicable legal framework and data protection laws and regulations.
- Develop specific templates, procedures and policies.
- Populate the contract management tool with new contract templates and/or update the existing templates as necessary.
- Perform legal monitoring to track regulatory and legislative changes.
- Provide any other legal assistance as required.
- Ensure compliance with the legal and regulatory framework and internal procedures as applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- University degree (Level master’s degree) preferably in Health/Biomedical research Law, Judiciary careers, or European law.
- Excellent written and spoken English (working language).
- Some experience working in an international environment and experience in drafting and negotiating international contracts.
- Strong work ethic, teamwork skills, initiative, and strong analytical abilities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, reporting skills, and quality orientation.
- Computer and software knowledge and adaptability to diverse professional and evolving research environments.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, handle sensitive legal matters with integrity, discretion, and the highest level of confidentiality, and collaborate with a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
