Offer Description
We seek to hire a post-doctoral scientist within the ERC synergy project PatCorg – Spatially Patterned Organoids.
Patcorg aims to understand the mechanisms underlying regionalization and lamination of the human cortex and their deregulation in disease using different in vitro models derived from human pluripotent stem cells. The successful candidate will be in charge of generating genetically modified organoids to study the mechanisms controlling the organization and cell diversification of the human cortex.

Additional comments
The Institut Jacques Monod, located in central Paris, is a leading international center with a strong collaborative culture offering a highly interactive scientific environment and access to cutting-edge core facilities.
Our team provides a stimulating research environment at the interface of neurodevelopment, cell biology and genomics. We employ a broad range of techniques — organoids, stem cells, omics approaches, and live imaging — to explore principles of cell‑fate specification and tissue morphogenesis. We recently moved into newly renovated laboratory space with dedicated culture rooms for human organoids. English is the working language for lab meetings, seminars, and daily communication.
Professional Development & Support
Integration within an ERC funded consortium with several Paris‑based partner laboratories
Opportunities to develop high‑level technical expertise in hiPSC and organoid technologies
Participation in consortium workshops, technical training, and collaborative meetings
