Job Description

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an IT Product Owner (f/m) to join our Digital Directorate integrating the E2E Develop Domain based in Marignane, France .

You will be part of a team developing and maintaining applications to support the business in the production of the Aircraft documentation. As part of the Techdata & Manufacturing Solutions PSL, you will be involved in defining, monitoring and improving the best solution for our business, aiming at ensuring the achievement of projects, new functionalities and very high improvements for the business in terms of production.

The Techdata & Manufacturing Solutions PSL is a wonderful playground for anyone curious, problem solving oriented and eager to continuously learn. It is proud to be among the most innovative PSLs, having been an early adopter of DevOps and Agile, and remains a leader on these technologies. It is responsible for more than 100 applications, roughly 50% of which are developed for the PSL. Due to the large number of applications and needs, the PSL must cover a diverse technical stack ranging from classic client–server architecture in Java or Node.js to cutting‑edge event‑driven architecture. Zero downtime, improved performance and user satisfaction, improved cost efficiency and application reliability, and accelerated deliveries are just some of the challenges the candidate will work on.

Your challenges

  • Taking part in the TechData New Generation Portfolio in the frame of SAFe Methodology (Scaled Agile Framework) – Product Owner related to TECHDATA applications.
  • Managing Agile Team, defining solutions towards business requirements, defining sprint planning, sprint review, system demo, follow-up & respecting planning commitments.
  • As responsible of product(s) in charge, providing and sharing the incoming vision of your application portfolio.
  • Identifying risks/opportunities and mitigation plans.
  • Designing solutions that work at scale in line with standard IT architecture design patterns.
  • Demonstrating leadership to align all stakeholders.
  • Ensuring solution operability, security, performance and robustness.
  • Contributing to various deliveries including requirement definition, architecture dossier, information system modelling.
  • Supervising both the technical and functional aspects within budget constraints.
  • Reviewing and approving development proposals and new functionalities.
  • Prioritizing user stories during planning and managing associated risks.
  • Collaborating closely with the development team and validating user stories.
  • Managing subcontractors, addressing day‑to‑day activities and technical/functional challenges.
  • Engaging in technical discussions with new business stakeholders.
  • Creating, modifying, and presenting technical reports.
  • Effectively communicating issues related to application functionality and performance.

Your profile

  • Educated to a Master degree level in IT.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Business IT projects.
  • IT expertise.
  • Application language landscape: Java, .NET, JavaScript.
  • Database landscape: Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgres, CouchDB, MariaDB.
  • Collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to drive improvement & innovation.
  • Experience in agile product development.
  • Knowledge of Airbus context will be appreciated.
  • Knowledge of Design (configured Digital Mock‑Up (DMU)), Manufacturing (Manufacturing Engineering, Shop floor Execution), Support and Services domains will be appreciated.
  • Solid project management skills, ideally in projects with a high level of uncertainty and/or related to change management within a complex set of stakeholders.
  • Open minded for collaborative ways of working in a transnational business environment.
  • Good analytical skills as well as interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
