Investment Professional - Core Infrastructure Fund
About the role:
We are partnering with a top-tier European Infrastructure Investment Management Fund with multi-billion AUM, a strong track record across several funds, and a diversified portfolio across digital, energy, and transportation assets.
The firm invests in Core and Value-Add infrastructure across Europe, with significant presence in the Iberian Peninsula and co-investment capabilities. The team is collaborative, international, and known for its high performance and strong market reputation.
The firm is seeking an Investment Professional to join its Investment Team in either Paris or Munich. This is a growth-driven hire and will sit within a high-visibility function working closely with senior leadership, including the Chief Investment Officer.
Successful candidates will manage 2–3 asset management mandates while supporting investment activity across the lifecycle, from origination through execution and ongoing portfolio optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support origination, evaluation, and execution of Core and Value-Add infrastructure investments across Europe.
- Build, review, and own financial models, sensitivity analyses, and valuation workstreams.
- Lead portions of due diligence, coordinating with advisors and internal teams.
- Prepare investment committee materials and support approval processes.
- Assist in structuring, negotiation, and transaction closing.
- Take responsibility for 2–3 operational assets within the portfolio.
- Monitor financial, operational, and ESG performance of assets.
- Support value-creation initiatives, refinancing, contracts, and strategic repositioning.
- Work closely with operating partners and management teams.
- Conduct market research, sector mapping, and thematic analysis across energy, digital, and transport verticals.
- Contribute to fundraising activities and investor reporting as required.
Candidate Profile:
- 2–6 years of experience in top-tier Investment Banking (M&A) or Private Equity, ideally with an infrastructure focus.
- Strong modelling, analytical, and due-diligence capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience working on complex transactions.
- Can speak a Southern European Language.
