Investment Partner
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Investment Partner based in France.
This is a high-impact, founder-facing investment leadership role focused on building and scaling a structured acquisition engine across Europe. You will be responsible for originating and converting high-quality software acquisition opportunities, engaging directly with founders, advisors, and stakeholders across multiple verticals. The role blends strategic market development, hands‑on execution, and executive‑level relationship building in a fast‑paced, private‑equity‑backed software environment. You will design and operate a repeatable system for sourcing deals, building trust with founders, and progressing opportunities through the full investment lifecycle. Acting as a regional leader, you will also build and scale a high‑performing origination team while shaping go‑to‑market strategy and operating rhythms. This is a deeply entrepreneurial position with significant ownership, visibility, and long‑term impact on portfolio growth.
Accountabilities
- Own and execute the European origination strategy, including market mapping, ICP definition, vertical theses, and coverage models across target software niches.
- Build and scale a high‑performing outbound origination function, including hiring, coaching, and managing team leads and managers to achieve aggressive pipeline targets.
- Develop and run multi‑channel outreach programs (email, phone, LinkedIn, events, and conferences) to engage founders, advisors, and intermediaries.
- Lead structured operating rhythms (WBRs, MBRs, QBRs) and ensure strong CRM discipline, pipeline visibility, and accurate deal tracking across all stages.
- Drive founder engagement and conversion by building trust‑based relationships and progressing opportunities from first contact through LOI and transaction close.
- Act as a regional closer for key opportunities, supporting negotiations, maintaining momentum, and ensuring successful execution through to signed agreements.
- Collaborate closely with M&A, operating, and people teams to align on qualification standards, market prioritization, and team scaling initiatives.
- Develop and continuously refine playbooks, tooling, and data‑driven systems to optimize outreach, conversion, and deal velocity.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in B2B software, enterprise sales, origination, or investment‑related roles, ideally within PE‑backed or high‑growth SaaS environments.
- Proven experience building and scaling outbound sales or origination teams (15–30+ people), including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Strong track record of success in founder‑led sales, enterprise new‑logo acquisition, or M&A‑facing commercial roles.
- Deep understanding of SaaS ecosystems, market mapping, pipeline development, and modern GTM and outreach methodologies.
- Exceptional ability to build credibility and influence senior stakeholders, particularly founders and executive‑level decision‑makers.
- Strong systems thinking with experience using structured operating models, metrics, and CRM‑driven performance management.
- Highly developed negotiation and closing skills, with experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder deal cycles through to completion.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration skills in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments.
Benefits
- Competitive executive‑level compensation package with performance‑based incentives.
- Opportunity to lead and scale a high‑growth investment origination function across Europe.
- High autonomy and ownership within a long‑term, evergreen investment platform.
- Exposure to experienced operators, investors, and advisors across global software markets.
- Flexible working arrangements with regional travel across Europe.
- Significant career progression opportunities in investment leadership and portfolio development.
- Dynamic, entrepreneurial environment focused on continuous improvement and long‑term value creation.
