Marex Solutions department is staffed by some of the most experienced teams in the world, specialising in the manufacture and distribution of customised derivative products across Equities, Commodities, Credit, FX, Funds, Fixed Income and Digital Assets. These products are distributed to customers through two specialist channels: Risk Management and Financial Products.
This role sits within the financial products team and focuses on the institutional client market which includes Asset Managers, Hedge funds, Insurance companies, Pension funds and Family offices among others.
Role Summary
An ambitious, proactive individual who drives the development of our Institutional Solutions offering in France and more broadly across Europe. The position requires the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, engaging directly with clients and internal counterparts. Commercial acumen is essential to maintain good relationships with existing clients and bring new ones.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality sales coverage for France and the EMEA region for Marex Solutions’ institutional clients.
- Create value and capture revenue from the existing client base while developing new client pipelines.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Credit / Compliance / Legal / Onboarding / Ops / Trading / Risk) to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in day‑to‑day business activity and client communication.
- Build and manage a direct client base, contributing to the growth of the EMEA Institutional Solutions business.
- Assist with onboarding new client relationships and maintain existing relationships, supporting processes as required and updating clients.
- Work efficiently while supporting and preparing new required frameworks.
- Strategise to increase P&L, analysing markets and products, and identify opportunities to synergise with other areas of the Solutions business.
- Ensure compliance with FCA and other local regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for the role, ensuring all regulatory or company‑determined parameters are complied with.
- Serve as a role model, demonstrating the highest level of integrity and conduct, reflecting company values.
- Comply with the FCA’s Code of Conduct at all times.
- Ensure awareness and adherence to internal policies that relate to your role.
- Report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.
- Escalate risk events immediately.
- Provide input to risk‑management processes as required.
Skills And Experience
- 5 years’ prior experience working in financial markets at a sell‑side organisation.
- A deep understanding of structured products and derivatives, especially OTC hedging and overlays, structured notes, and QIS, gained from a sell‑side role.
- A good knowledge of wider financial derivatives and how they can be used or structured to help clients manage underlying risk.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial service markets and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of risk and compliance requirements.
- FCA and/or local certification.
- Language skills: knowledge of one or more European languages is a plus.
