About the role
The Sales Engineering Specialist supports the sales process by providing technical expertise and helping customers understand how products meet their needs. This role bridges the gap between engineering and sales, ensuring technical accuracy and customer satisfaction. The position requires professionals who apply advanced knowledge of their field, manage projects and processes independently, and coach lower‑level professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of existing clients and prospect new clients across the French territory.
- Analyze client technical needs and propose optimal solutions based on our product range (pumps, agitators, etc.).
- Prepare detailed technical and commercial offers in collaboration with internal teams (engineering, production).
- Negotiate contracts and sales terms in accordance with the company’s commercial policy.
- Ensure technical follow‑up of projects from design to commissioning, guaranteeing client satisfaction.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences and client events to promote products and the Sulzer Ensival Moret image.
- Deliver technical and commercial presentations to clients.
- Provide regular activity reporting and sales forecasting.
- Maintain a technological and competitive watch on the market.
Qualifications
- Engineer degree (BAC+5) in mechanical, electromechanical, process engineering or equivalent.
- Significant experience (minimum 3‑5 years) in a technical‑sales role, ideally in the industrial equipment sector (pumps, valves, agitators, fluids).
- Strong technical knowledge of fluid mechanics, hydraulics and/or industrial agitators.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in French and technical English (written and oral).
- Proficiency with IT tools (CRM, Office suite).
- Valid driver’s licence and availability for frequent national travel.
- Minimum B1 English proficiency.
