Ingénieur Mécanique – Simulation Numérique & CATIA
Overview
KNDS France is a leader in the design, production, and support of terrestrial combat systems, artillery, munitions, weapons, and robotics. As an architect and systems integrator in the "Armes et Montages de Moyen Calibre" unit, you will undertake a research and design internship focused on a complex system within the CATIA environment, building on previous work.
Responsibilities
- Understand the operation of a complex system to extract relevant input and output parameters.
- Propose architectures with theoretical justifications for critical functions, detailing advantages and disadvantages of each solution.
- Perform calculations in Abaqus / Ansys on high‑risk components.
- Document and consolidate knowledge acquired during the internship (report writing).
Qualifications
- Currently in the final year of an engineering school or equivalent, specializing in mechanical engineering or numerical simulation.
- Knowledge of dynamic modelling / structural dynamics and vibrational interactions.
- Experience with MATLAB Simulink and Abaqus / Ansys environments.
- Rigorous, with an appetite for defense-related work.
