For PR electronics’ French team, our office located in Genas (Lyon area), we are looking for an internal sales engineer, referring to the General Manager.

Main objectives & success criteria

Your role will be diverse and require a great overview. You will be anchoring, linking, aligning, and supporting the external sales force by providing technical sales/service/consultancy/training backup. Moreover, you will engage in 1:1 problem solving and in-depth technical support for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming customer inquiries by telephone, e‑mail, and fax
  • Handling of customer inquiries received from external sales engineers
  • Pro‑active lead and sales generation
  • Prequalification of technical requirements and commercial requirements
  • Preparation of quotes and quotation follow‑ups
  • Liaise with global support team, product specialists for non‑standard applications and external sales engineers
  • Own and manage all customer issues
  • Handling of order entry and liaise with the logistics team
  • High quality customer liaison during the sales process
  • Learn product knowledge via formal training and on the job training
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of commercial awarenessAttend training courses and workshops as required and share knowledge with an external team

Qualifications and experience

  • Ideally educated to a minimum BAS +2 (BTS, DUT) electronic engineering level or equivalent relevant process automation industry experience
  • Experience in the process industry or with instrumentation is desired or alternatively commercial sales experience with products such as flow, level, pressure and temperature
  • Alternatively, this role could be suitable for a new graduate who is looking for their first role in technical sales
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high regard for exceptional customer service
  • Able to multi‑task and independently prioritize job functions under pressure
  • Disciplined CRM user
  • Fluent in both written and oral English on a business level
