Digital Transformation Portfolio Director

Reporting to the Head of Industry Business Excellence, this role sits at the heart of the Industry leadership agenda and is responsible for driving the governance, execution and adoption of the digital, data, IS, and AI transformation roadmap across the Industry Business Unit.

The Role

  • Define the Industry Digital Transformation vision & roadmap, in close collaboration with the Industry Data Office Director and DDIS.
  • Lead portfolio governance, prioritisation, and execution, ensuring delivery across multiple workstreams and adherence to governance frameworks.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to translate strategic objectives into high‑value, technology‑enabled initiatives.
  • Ensure seamless integration of digital systems, data, and tools across Industry.
  • Lead the central Digital Transformation workstream leads and animate the Industry DT community to drive alignment, adoption, and best‑practice sharing.
  • Drive change management and digital adoption, building a digitally literate workforce prepared for both current and future challenges.
  • Track budget, business cases, and demand management processes to ensure value‑driven investment decisions.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience leading digital / IS / data transformation initiatives in a manufacturing and supply environment (5+ years) within Manufacturing / Supply organisations – ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements and regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional, multi‑stakeholder teams in complex transformation programs.
  • Solid program, portfolio and change management expertise, with strong analytical problem‑solving skills and a strong business acumen.
  • The ability to influence, engage, and lead change at all levels of the organization.
