We are looking to hire an ICQA Area Manager to be part of our fulfillment center Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team. Fulfillment centers sit at the heart of Amazon’s rapidly growing operations network and manage fast‑moving inventory. Your role will lead a team of hourly associates, ensuring adherence to policies while delivering reliable customer service.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of hourly Associates, including Team Leads and Data Analysts, in inventory control, quality assurance, and problem‑solving operations.
  • Support safety programs and compliance to maintain a safe work environment for all associates.
  • Coordinate inventory control, quality assurance and problem‑solving operations to align with network strategies and SOX compliance.
  • Conduct shift planning, forecasting, assign and direct work, and oversee projects to streamline processes and optimize productivity.
  • Review KPIs on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and perform quality analysis of behaviors or processes that could impact inventory integrity and customer experience.
  • Drive continuous process improvement in partnership with operations management, gaining expertise in key fulfillment center process paths.
  • Support interviewing, training, and talent development for fulfillment center managers and associates.

A Day in the Life

You will work shifts at a fulfillment center, overseeing inventory control, quality assurance and problem‑solving operations. The day starts with a team huddle to review previous shift performance and set goals. Throughout the shift you analyze inventory discrepancies, resolve receiving issues, coach team members on accuracy, and collaborate with partners in operations, catalogue, procurement, supply chain, process engineering, loss prevention and program management. You make quick decisions to keep operations running smoothly, observe processes, coach staff, enforce safety standards, develop team members, give feedback, and prepare a handover for the next shift.

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in operations management.
  • Relevant experience in performing data analysis and understanding data sets and tools.
  • Proficiency in the local language and English, both spoken and written.
  • Advanced user of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A resilient, focused problem solver and self‑starter with the ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a complex and ambiguous environment.
  • Strong commitment to employee development and an exceptional level of dedication and motivation to team management.
  • Proven ability to influence peers or stakeholders across varying levels of seniority within the Ops organization.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and techniques.
