Pacific International Recruitment has partnered with a global manufacturing leader to help them identify their next HR Manager for their site in Lyon.

As the HR Manager, you will deploy and execute their HR strategy and policies while driving on the ground initiatives, and act as a business partner for the business. The role combines strategic contribution with strong operational management, focusing on employee and labor relations to ensure constructive social dialogue and provide expertise in a compliant and pragmatic manner. This position requires an experienced HR professional with strong labor relations expertise, solid managerial and communication skills, and the ability to operate autonomously while influencing senior stakeholders and maintaining high standards of compliance and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deployment and implementation of the Human Resources strategy and policies for the site, ensuring alignment with company objectives and local requirements.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to operational and management teams, providing guidance on HR matters while supporting performance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead and manage HR policies, programs, and projects within the assigned scope, ensuring consistent and high-quality execution.
  • Coordinate and oversee employee and labor relations, fostering constructive social dialogue and maintaining effective working relationships with employee representative bodies and social partners.
  • Monitor and support the local implementation of company-wide HR strategies, ensuring compliance with legal, social, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the day-to-day Human Resources management including employee support, manager guidance, and HR operations.
  • Provide hierarchical leadership to the HR department, developing team capability and ensuring a high level of service to the organization.
  • Interface internally with all departments and employees, and externally with service providers, partners, and local administrations, representing the organization professionally.
  • Participate in studies, working groups, or strategic initiatives related to HR orientations and workforce development, and carry out specific assignments as required.
  • Ensure strong standards of communication, confidentiality, and compliance, applying best practices in administrative, legal, social, and financial HR matters.

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a human resources function, including experience overseeing labor relations.
  • 3+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment, including demonstrated experience developing team members.
  • Ability to manage and effectively communicate with employee representative bodies.
