Human Resources Business Partner – HRBP (F/H) – CDD (6 mois)

We are recruiting an HR Business Partner to cover a maternity leave replacement. The contract is 6 months, with an ideal start in July 2024 and an end in the first quarter of 2027.

Location & Scope

Operate across France and Canada, with a dual responsibility: ensuring operational HR continuity and driving strategic HR projects.

Responsibilities

  1. Operational HR support for managers

    • Provide first-line HR support to managers.
    • Manage team lifecycles (onboarding, exits, individual cases).
    • Participate in training organization.
    • Assist with recruitment – drafting job ads, pre‑qualification, interviews.
  2. HR administration & payroll

    • Administer bi‑weekly payroll in Canada (in partnership with payroll firm).
    • Support payroll checks in France.
    • Maintain leave, absences, and administrative files in France and Canada.
    • Track contracts, including subcontracting or temporary platforms.
    • Handle foreign workforce matters and stay updated on legal/social requirements.
  3. HR Projects

    • Redesign the onboarding experience (mapping existing practices, gathering feedback, redesigning pre‑onboarding, onboarding, and post‑arrival phases, structuring training, creating tools and supports).
    • Implement the first version of the new onboarding roadmap.
    • Contribute to other cross‑functional projects such as skills mapping in Lucca, evaluation system evolution, and community of managers facilitation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of HR generalist / HRBP experience.
  • Experience in SME or growth environments.
  • International exposure.
  • Strong command of core HR concepts (social law, disciplinary processes, payroll).
  • Ability to manage operational tasks autonomously.
  • Comfort working with managers.
  • Project management skills.
  • English proficiency (B2 minimum, C1 a plus).
  • Proficient with Office, especially Excel.
  • Interest in HRIS tools; knowledge of Lucca is a plus.
  • Pragmatic, solution‑oriented, strong interpersonal skills, advising posture, prioritisation, autonomy, reliability, and team spirit.
