As the Sales Representative for the Alps , you will work closely with the Country Sales Manager to maximize sales opportunities and strengthen Helly Hansen’s presence in your territory. Together, you will develop accurate and actionable sales plans, build seasonal assortments, and create realistic business scenarios. You will also provide timely, consistent feedback from your accounts to support informed decisions and long‑term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Execution: Consistently and with a sustainable approach, hit your sales targets through "Bookings", "ASAPs", and "Clearances"; Be accountable for the execution, management, and coordination of our account orders including entry, tracking, order confirmation, cancellations, and delivery information; Be accountable for the preparation, planning, and delivery of clear and persuasive sales line presentation, executing according to our structured selling process; Conduct seasonal or in some cases, monthly business reviews with our customers; Use marketing and product initiatives to best position HH with our customer and making sure brand presentation standards are in place.
- Assortment: Identify product opportunities, develop product assortments and proposals, and execute product strategies, making sure Core-to-Exploration are represented; Balance our accounts merchandising needs with HH product placement objectives as well as recommending products to purchase that position all inventories appropriately; Stay current on HH product trends and changes but also understanding market knowledge on product trends, pricing, and our competition to maximize our product placement and sales.
- Distribution: Provide exceptional customer service by developing and maintaining strong relationships with customer personnel at all levels of our account's business; Make sure we segment and differentiate the distribution strategically, create, and maintain the base for sustainable growth; Whenever relevant, work with our sales manager or key account manager to manage key or strategic accounts; Communicate daily with buyers, managers, customer service and keep everyone informed of opportunities, problems, progress, and support needed; Ensure services offered to accounts (seasonal window execution, POP, clinics, branded area support, etc) are well executed.
- Cooperation: Meet all reporting deadlines in a timely and consistent manner; Actively participate in all Sales Arenas including account, global-to-local sales meetings, and trade fairs, being available to help out once and awhile with set-up, maintenance, or tear down; Work together with our Finance Team financial stability and payment discipline of our accounts; Show the ability to energize others, getting them revved up, and inspire them. Establish and maintain consistent and positive external and internal relationships!

- Sales generated in Territory by type - Pre-Orders, ASAPs, & Clearance
- Strategic Selling - Right product segmentation in right channel/account
- Distribution Expansion - # accounts including channel type
Experience / Skills Required
- Must have a deep knowledge of our industry and its key players including competitors, retailers, distributors, consumers, and events
- Must have previous sales experience preferably in our industry
- Ideally, have a University Degree and qualifications in Business Management
- strong written and oral French as well as preferably English language skills; must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
- Must have a proven ability to persuade and influence people to take action
- The position requires a travel schedule of about 160 days per annum with 95% of it being done in the territory
